First sunrise, first voyage.

Pretty damn proud of ourself today... months of hard work, frustration, challenges, learning (so much learning), worry, french language skills (and lack of), spare part logistics, building a tool kit from scratch, schedule planning, official document processing (even tracking down a random Aussie tourist in Calvi to witness our Aussie stat dec), and finally a bit of balls, and alot of advice, from people with much more knowledge than us (an American neighbour boat made a great suggestion about a bolt I snapped on Thursday which helped solve the problem, we may have been stuck otherwise), have got us to leaving Corsica and arriving in Isola Capraia, Italy. We are pretty gobsmacked that we are here - we sailed our own damn boat to a new country! - but it is hopefully the first of many great days. RIBELLU performed beautifully in a variety of conditions and the motor didn't miss a beat. A couple of beers, then there will be some snoring echoing in this bay tonight (not from me...) @ Isola di Capraia
